After doing a lot of research online about the diffent people search programs, I started to wonder, What do people do if they no longer wish to be found on these sites? I search around and found “The Privacy Council”. The Privacy Council offers a full list removal service. They will remove you from the major mailing lists, call lists and marketing lists. People can remove themselves from this list, but The Privacy Council is only asking for a $3 contribution to cover the expenses of mailing, faxing and calling each of the major Do Not Call, Do Not Email and Do Not Mail lists on your behalf. I don’t know how they do it. $3 seems like nothing if you don’t have to waste your time doing all of this. Check out more information on The Privacy Council at www.privacycouncil.org

If you want to find information about someone, one of the best places to start is a Google Search. You can do a Google people search and find background information, phone numbers, addresses, maps and more.

1. Google a name- Make sure to use quotations

You can find a lot of information about someone by simply entering their name in quotation marks. Example: “John Smith”
If the person you are looking for has an unusual name, you don’t necessarily need the quotation marks in order for it to work. For a search like “John Smith”, you will most likely need a little more information to identify them. Try adding things like the city they live in, any clubs or organizations they may be involved in, etc. You can even try performing your people search using different combinations. Try putting all of the words in quotes, trying searching with no quotes, trying some with quotes and some with out, etc.

2. Track someone with a Google News Alert

If you want to stay advised of someone’s doings via the Web, Google news alerts is a good place to start. Note: this will only deliver relevant information if the person you’re looking for is documented on the Web in some way.
Go to www.google.com and click on the “more” link, then go down to “even more”. Alerts should be the first link you see. Follow their steps and you will be notified by email on the topic/person of your choosing.

Using these two tools, you will not only be able to find the people you are searching for, but you will also be updated as new information comes out.

Do you need to locate a long lost friend or relative? Or maybe you just want to have access to the public records of a particular person? Yes, that is possible. In the past, if you wanted to have personal records or identify someone, you have to hire a private investigator to do the work for you. Indeed, private investigators have their ways to locate someone, but this method takes time and can be costly. These days, there are several ways for you to locate and investigate someone.
If you want to conduct a people search, all you have to do is go online and there you will find counties, states, and localities that post their websites. These sites provide public records that you can have access to. There are plenty of government agencies that scan arrest reports and driver licenses and post them on their websites. With all of these, you can conduct a people search with these free websites.
In order for you to find these free websites and to perform people search, you have to go on one of the popular search engines such as Google or Yahoo. If you are conducting people search to an inmate and you want to check the person out, you can type the quote such as ‘Orange County Jail’ along with the state that you want to conduct search for. In performing this search, you may be able to find out what the offender is wanted for, nothing more. But at least, you can check out the dates and can check out if they are still in that area.
It is understandable that you wish to perform the search in locating someone, and if you wish to do it for free, you will need to allocate time and effort for it. It is not that simple to find information about someone through free websites. It can sometimes be frustrating and disappointing but at least you can try it out. If you get any information when you conduct people search at these free websites, then that’s good for you. The time and effort that you allocate is worth it.
But if you need results immediately, going with free websites is not the most appropriate approach. You would be better off going with paid search services since paid search services can give you results in minutes. You won’t need to search and narrow down lots of different results. With the paid search service, you can perform people search easily and faster at the comfort of your own home and have great result.
Net Detective is a great search program that provides lots of information for a really affordable price. It is only $29 and it’s really easy to use. After taking hours to perform the search yourself, you will really be saving money by purchasing this product.
